FX Maurin et son fils Romain, François Cardonnet et son fils Antoine, Jean-Robert Delpero et son fils Antoine, Emmanuelle Joly et sa fille Uhaina ainsi que 17 autres duos familiaux de 8 à 61 ans ont participé le week-end des 20 et 21 juillet 2009 à Guéthary (64) à la seconde édition de la Hoalen Fathers & Sons, rencontre unique en son genre mettant à l’honneur, loin des compétitions, le surf conjugué en famille.
Les participants concourent en duo en longboard, en shortboard ou en stand-up paddle, chaque duo étant constitué de deux personnes présentant un lien familial et une génération d’écart.
21 surfeurs ont glissé dans les courbes de leurs aînés offrant un spectacle de qualité et de toute beauté, hissant sur le podium final deux duos émérites : pour la catégorie senior FX Maurin et son fils Romain, finalistes 2008 et ambassadeurs de choc Hoalen et, pour la catégorie des plus jeunes, Marc Delanne et sa talentueuse fille Dalia. Une jolie manière de partager cette journée de fête des pères.
Merci à tous les participants, à l’Urkirola Surf Club, Surfer’s Journal, à Sylvain Mercandalli, ambassadeur Hoalen, et Rico Leroy pour leur démonstration de pirogue et à Jean-Marie Drouet, artiste peintre et également ambassadeur Hoalen, pour la peinture qu’il a offerte aux vainqueurs.

FX Maurin and his son Romain , François Cardonnet and his son Antoine, Jean-Robert Delpero and his son Antoine, Emmanuelle Joly and her daughter Uhaina as well as 17 other « family duos » between the ages of 8 and 61 participated in the second installment of the Hoalen Fathers & Sons event held on the 20th and 21st of July in Guéthary (64).This event, which is one of a kind and far from competition, brings together surfing and family.
The participants compete in duo on longboard, shortboard or on stand-up paddle, each duo comprising two people of the same family, with a generation between the two.
21 surfers hit the waves with their elders, offering a beautiful and quality show, heaving up on the final podium the two duos as follows :in the senior category FX Maurin and his son Romain, 2008 finalists and impressive Hoalen’s ambassadors and in the youngest category Marc Delanne and his talented daughter Dalia. A lovely way to celebrate Father’s day.
