Introducing the Coaster jacket, the new must-have in the Hoalen Explore® range. It is light, waterproof and breathable. Hoalen, for its very first version of the Coaster jacket, uses the Japanese fabric manufacturer KOMATSU, an expert in technical fabrics based in the Ishikawa region. We selected a fabric called rip-stop made in a grid pattern to reinforce the structure of the fabric and to avoid, among other things, the extension of the tear during a snag. This technical fabric called "reinforced" allows to combine the comfort of a light fabric (70 gsm) with the tear resistance of much thicker fabrics. The double interior is also made in a lighter rip-stop fabric (40 gsm). In addition to being durable, this outer fabric has excellent breathability, i.e. the ability to wick moisture from the wearer's perspiration away from the body, thus avoiding any unpleasant feeling of dampness or wetness. The protocols for assessing the breathability of the fabric used define its properties at 20g/m2/24h. The purpose of such a jacket is of course to breathe and therefore to evacuate moisture to the outside, but at the same time not to let it in. This is evaluated by the protocols on the waterproofness of a garment to which the new outer fabric of the COASTER jacket scores 196 KPA. Breathable and waterproof as it is, what would this jacket be if it wasn't warm, light and comfortable? In order to ensure a good thermal insulation, Hoalen uses a 60 gsm synthetic wadding made in Portugal to fill this COASTER. This synthetic thermal insulation brings lightness and thermal performance in strong conditions of cold and humidity. High collar, zip fastening, small burgundy " Hoalen" patch stitched on chest, inside zip pocket and two side zip pockets, elasticated drawcord adjustment with stoppers at the bottom of the jacket. Invisible sleeves at the cuffs for an optimal insulation against bad weather. Reinforcement yokes in waterproof nylon canvas from the same Japanese supplier KOMATSU.
