Former professional longboarder, Romain glides with ease and lightness on the Basque and Landes waves. He discovered the pleasures of surfing at the age of five before winning two titles at the European Championships. Son of Francois Xavier Maurin, pioneer of French surfing, our ambassador continues the family tradition.
This passion has never left him and it is after years filled with travels and competitions around the world that he bravely resumes his studies at 27 years old to obtain his diploma of podiatrist.
Romain is a regular at the HOALEN Fathers & Sons, which he won several times with his father and in which he participated with his daughter. Like this transgenerational event, he now shares his passion for waves with his two daughters.
