The Mariner 7 retains the fundamentals of previous models, while being softer, lighter and more comfortable.
Waterproof & warm
For the outer fabric of our Mariner 7, we chose the "Staywax Sahara 6" fabric. This wax-like fabric is tough, flexible and easy to care for. It contains a unique blend of waxes that can be machine washed. Developed by British Millerain, this manufacturer has specialized in the development of water repellent materials since 1880 and is historically known for the quality and durability of its fabrics, which were originally used by fishermen on small trawlers on the English coast.
Durable fabric
To restore the shine, suppleness and water repellency of your jacket's waxed cotton (after about 5 washes), you can rewax it yourself very easily with a spray wax (we recommend the TX.Direct Spray-On from Nikwax). Our Ocean Stores also offer you the possibility to bring your jacket to the store to have it rewaxed (allow 24 hours for your jacket to dry in store).
