14th Ocean Store, our Douarnenez shop remains true to what has always inspired Hoalen: towns facing the ocean. In Douarnenez, a town shaped by maritime trades — from sardine fishermen to shipwrights, from fishermen to offshore sailors — this new destination finds its natural home. It is in a former shipyard, on the edge of Port-Rhu, amidst dark wood and a simple yet warm atmosphere, that the space has come to life.
Within a 150 m² space, the Hoalen world is on display in all its diversity. Here, perhaps even more so than elsewhere, clothing designed for life by the water takes centre stage: watch jackets and overalls, fleece jackets, neoprene wetsuits… everything to support those setting out to sea, those sailing, those surfing and those spending time by the water.
Designed to encourage you to take your time, the space invites you to settle into a sofa for a few moments, listen to music or flick through the books in the library, which are also available for purchase should you fall in love with one. A warm and lively place, clad entirely in wood, opening out onto the harbour and the spirit of the open sea.
