In collaboration with the Urkirola Surf Club, Hoalen is organising the Tribes (ex Pères et fils) in Guéthary on the small beach of Cénitz on 27 and 28 September 2025. The Hoalen Tribes (ex Pères et Fils) is a unique, friendly sporting event which, far from competitions, has been promoting family surfing for the last six years. In keeping with the cross-generational spirit of the event, participants must compete in pairs, with each pair made up of two people with a family link and a generation apart (father-son, mother-daughter, uncle-nephew, etc.). The media permitted are longboard, shortboard and stand-up paddle. Pairs are judged on their aesthetic prowess in the waves, with a bonus if the surfing is done as a duo (two participants on the same surf, parallel surfing, identical curves, contact).
