The fabric is produced from clothing—or pieces of clothing—that have been collected, compressed, and then shredded, returning them to their basic fiber state before being spun into yarn. Its heavier weight (210 g/m² compared to 150 g/m² for a standard T-shirt) ensures it retains its shape better wash after wash.
