Hoalen, in partnership with the Urkirola Surf Club, organized on September 24th and 25th, 2022 the 12th edition of the Hoalen Tribes (ex Fathers and Sons) in Guéthary on the small beach of Cénitz. The Hoalen Tribes (ex Fathers and Sons) is a unique and friendly sporting event which, far from competitions, has been promoting family surfing for six years. In order to satisfy the trans-generational spirit of the event, participants must compete in pairs, each pair having to be made up of two people with a family link and a generation apart (father-son, mother-daughter, uncle-nephew etc.). The authorized supports are the longboard, the shortboard and the stand-up paddle. The pairs are judged on their aesthetic prowess in the waves with a bonus if the surfing is done in duo (two participants on the same surf, parallel surfing, identical curves, contacts).
