dexter 4
Since its foundation in 2006, Hoalen has been designing and manufacturing clothing for life on the coast. The climatic conditions encountered there are variable, even capricious. Hence the interest in designing robust and versatile products that can adapt to these rapid changes.
History
The result of the continuous improvement of Hoalen Explore® technical products, the Dexter 4 retains the fundamentals of previous models, while being lighter, more breathable and more practical. One of the reasons the Dexter 4 performs better is because of the technical materials supplied by British Millerain, a company founded in 1880 in Yorkshire. This manufacturer specialising in the development of water-repellent materials is historically known for the quality and resistance of its fabrics, which were originally used by fishermen on small trawlers on the English coast.
Waterproof
Hoalen, for its third version of the Dexter jacket has chosen a fabric with a "Staywax 100 RS" finish developed by British Millerain. This cotton with a unique blend of waxes has a drier feel than traditional waxed cotton. This lightweight fabric is a modern version of the fabrics used by fishermen in the past. Easy to care for, it retains its water-repellent properties over time.
Resistant
The fabric of the Dexter 4 has a so-called rip stop construction. It is reinforced in a grid pattern to stop the extension of a tear during a snag. This technical fabric, known as "armoured", combines the comfort of a light fabric (128 gsm) with the strength of a much thicker fabric.
Breathable
In addition to being durable, the Dexter 4's outer fabric has excellent breathability qualities, the ability to wick moisture from perspiration outwards and thus avoid any unpleasant feeling of dampness.
Hot
To ensure good thermal insulation, Hoalen uses a synthetic wadding made in Portugal with a density of 120 gsm to fill this Dexter 4. This synthetic thermal insulation provides particularly good warmth due to its lightness. The Navy blue lining was selected from our Portugese supplier Somelos, which manufactures this strong 235 gsm cotton fabric. The addition of invisible cotton sleeves at the cuffs contributes to its optimal insulation from the cold.
Polyvalent
Thanks to its technical qualities and its lightness, the Dexter 3 adapts to a number of outdoor situations and activities. It can be worn over a simple t-shirt to take advantage of its windproofness, in rainy weather for its water repellency, and in cold weather for its thermal qualities. With side pockets, a chest pocket and an inside zipped pocket, you can also put everything you need for the day in there.
Easy care
The waxed finish fabric developed by British Millerain also has the advantage of being machine washable. Rather appreciable for a jacket intended to accompany you everywhere, in all weathers and in all your outdoor activities. Classic cut, long sleeves, small burgundy "Hoalen" badge sewn above the breast pocket with lapel, large imitation horn buttons, inside zipped pocket and two non-zipped side pockets. Invisible ribbed cuffs for optimum insulation from the weather. Horizontal topstitching.
